rcfWe are delighted to announce that two new partners have joined us, and will be bringing a touch of culture and hours of fun to the Festival which will be held on Saturday 2nd July from 10.30am til 10.30pm in Reigate Priory Park.

Surrey Art Fairs will be hosting the first Festival Art Marquee. Kirstin Wood said:

‘We are very excited to be a part of the 2016 Reigate Community Festival.  Myself and Co-Curator Tracey Jane Cooper will be bringing together 20 talented local artists showing colourful and contemporary artworks at affordable prices alongside prints, greeting cards and ceramics.  With a Shakespearean twist to the Art Marquee provided by a community art competition you will be transported to a Midsummer Night’s Dream!  If you are a local artist keen to exhibit in the Surrey Art Fairs marquee or a budding artist interested in the art competition (all ages welcome!) please get in touch: surreyartfairs@aol.com

Reigate Fun Dog Show will also be coming to the Festival. Sue Sheen said:

‘We are so pleased to be joining the Festival. We know how many dog lovers there are in Reigate, and we’d like to ask them all to come along. With a variety of classes tailored to include all breeds, it’s time to pimp up your pet! Will your dog be crowned ‘Best in Show’?  You can simply turn up on the day, or you can pre-register on the Reigate Community Festival website if you want to be certain of a place. Collette Barber, Chair of the Reigate Events Collective who are coordinating the event said:

‘There’s an amazing energy around the Festival this year. I can’t wait to see the new additions on the day. Details of the Strongman Competition, run by Like2Lift Gym, and also new for 2016, were revealed on twitter this week. There is so much happening, I can hardly keep up!! Thanks to all the local residents who are following us on twitter, your likes and tweets are so helpful, please keep it up. We would also really like to hear from local drama groups who may be able to perform set pieces from the quill of Will!’

More than 50 stand applications have been received in just 3 weeks, and 1st April is the deadline for Early Bird Discounts. If you’d like to join Headline Sponsors Morrison’s Solicitor’s in supporting this inclusive community event, by advertising in the programme or sponsoring an attraction, please get in touch.
